Celine Dion performed “Hymne à l’amour” by French singer Édith Piaf from the base of the Eiffel Tower – now an iconic moment.
In her Amazon Prime Video documentary, “I Am: Céline Dion,” the Grammy-winning singer shared her struggle with stiff-person syndrome. The documentary uncovered that the 56-year-old French-Canadian almost died from the disease.
Dion explained in the documentary that since her diagnosis, she has improved a lot and now singing and performing are motivating her to overcome the illness. We couldn’t be happier about that.
She said, “It’s not hard to do a show now, it’s hard to cancel a show,” “I’m working hard every day, but I have to admit — it’s been a struggle. I miss it so much. The people. I miss them. If I can’t run, I’ll walk. If I can’t walk, I’ll crawl. I won’t stop,” she added.
Lady Gaga Olympics performance was also one of the major highlights of the 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony along with French-Malian pop star Aya Nakamura.
